How Embrilia handles website data

Last updated 23 July 2026. Embrilia is the controller for data collected through this website. Contact us at hello@embrilia.health.

Data we collect

For patient private-beta applications, we collect your first name, email address, country, journey stage, treatment type and status, phone platform, interview willingness, an optional description of what is hard to organise, referral information, and communication consent. Applications are open worldwide so country can show us where there is interest and help us plan possible future cohorts. The first product cohort is limited to invited patients in Portugal using the English responsive web app; applying does not approve access or promise availability in a country. The separate professional form is research only and collects role and optional organisation context without patient information. We ask you not to provide detailed medical or patient information.

Why we use it

We use this data to understand geographic interest, review possible private-beta cohorts or professional research interest, send requested Embrilia communications, provide application status, prevent duplicate referral counts, secure login areas, and respond to privacy requests. Consent-gated analytics records funnel events but not your qualification answers.

Legal basis

Waitlist communications and Google Analytics rely on consent. Login, security, fraud prevention, and service operation rely on contract, pre-contract steps, legal obligations, or legitimate interests depending on the context.

Sharing

We do not sell fertility or other personal data, and we do not use fertility data for advertising. We use service providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics after consent, and operational tooling. Providers must process data under appropriate contractual and security terms.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, Embrilia relies on appropriate safeguards such as data-processing agreements and standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep application information while Embrilia is operating the private beta or while you remain subscribed, unless a longer period is required for security, legal, or audit reasons. Session storage is cleared by the browser session. Analytics retention is managed in GA4 and should be kept to the shortest useful period.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export your personal data. You can also withdraw consent for communications or analytics at any time.

Cookies and analytics choices

Google Analytics is optional and only runs after analytics consent. You can review or change choices on the Cookie policy page.
